![]() Music Yuffie's music was a much more unique soundtrack and style compared to remake and the rest of the cast's themes. Weiss as a super boss was also really fun, prob my favorite superboss so far as his strategy was easily more complex compared to previous ff older games so far. ![]() The side content was also just flat out better in this game, fort condor was a REALLY fun side game, and I hope they expand it in rebirth with harder content for it, as it was an easy highlight. While I still prefer controllable allies, it was still very fun to play with. Not only is yuffie's gameplay just better, but sonon's ally mechanic and synergize mechanic were really fun. There is no way she will stay this much better then the rest of the cast in rebirth, so either she gets power nerfed (which would suck), or the cast gets power buffed to her level, which is the more fun option. She is just overall much faster paced and more broken compared to the rest of the cast, but still requires attention as she has a low health pool, requiring dodging and blocking to survive encounters. Yuffie's juggle mechanic is also 100x compared to other characters, and it is just plain fun to do. One thing that makes her very unique is her perfect block, that allows you to negate damage completely by timing their attack with a block, which just adds so much without the need of the materia, which even the parry materia I feel isn't as fun as perfect blocking, but I still like the idea of dodging in the parry materia. Yuffie is the MOST fun out of any of the main characters you can play as, and I really hope some of her mechanics carry over in rebirth as universal mechanics. Gameplay Easily the highlight of yuffie's dlc. Lastly, Scarlet was the main antagonist shinra character for this story, and while she is still the typical big momma character, she was still pretty interesting to watch. All the sector 7 side characters also returned, and were still short in screen time, but for the stakes of this game, was way more interesting to talk to and not feel like I should be focusing on the stake at hand like in the remake. The short length does affect a bit for the game, but for the story it was, it was a pretty fine length all things considered. Sonon was also a very interesting character with how much they tried to pack in for his character arc all the way till the end. Following Yuffie's arc of trying to find the ultimate Materia (and not stealing it from us for now) was a less ambitious and impactful story, but was interesting all the way through. Yuffie especially I just loved her character, it felt more light toned compared to the remake, but it was a very consistent tone, with very rarely I would recoil from bad voice acting, or a weird tone. Story/Characters The story mainly follows Yuffie and Sonon, and they are very interesting characters imo. While it is a much shorter game, and has a weaker overall story, it is a much BETTER consistent story, with actual pacing that makes the story interesting instead of the stop and go pacing the remake had. A lengthy trailer from Summer Game Fest gave fans their first proper look at the game in a year and came at the end of a week's worth of sometimes insightful but more often bizarre Q&A posts from Square Enix.6h Played8.5/10 Final Fantasy VII Remake INTERmission was a bit of a surprise for me, as while I didn't think highly of remake, I REALLY enjoyed INTERmission. Part two, officially called Rebirth, is due to release this winter and fans are already noticing references to the original game in its marketing. ![]() Only time well tell exactly how these future memories, Whispers, and multiverses play out in the rest of Final Fantasy 7 Remake's story, which is now confirmed to be a trilogy. The Whispers are trying to undo and "correct" these plot changes from the original game though, as the tweet explains they sap some of Aerith's future memories every time they touch her. When Aerith calls him a mercenary, she's apparently doing so unintentionally because she subconsciously already holds this information. Even though the pair hadn't met until now, Aerith has vague memories of future events thanks to her multiverse self already knowing Cloud, Square Enix said.
